SP Photo Gallery
PSL SessionsPurpose:
- To help new Year Ones adapt to their new school culture. - To serve as a platform to connect with Year Ones and share experiences with them. - To serve as a direct way of peer supporting Year Ones, who usually need support especially when immersed in new school culture. |
SKMAlso known as the Singapore Kindness Movement :)
Purpose: - To serve as an outreach project within the school. - To encourage our schoolmates to believe in and to practice kindness in their everyday lives. |
VTCAlso known as Voices That Care :)
Purpose: - To serve as a 2 week long advocacy and outreach project with various themes depending on what we feel the school needs most. For example, BElieve in YOUrself :) Activities Done: - School Dares - Clothespeg Trail - Note-writing Movement - Dolphin Boards - Pluckable Posters - "I believe that..." Whiteboard Movement |
LIDAlso known as Little Initiative Day :)
Purpose: - To serve as a termly mini-event, a small-scale one-day long initiative to help the school's students. - There are 4 LIDs in total, each targeting one level. |
PIsAlso known as Personal Initiatives :)
Purpose: - To allow SPSls and PSLs to freely explore unique and personal ways of helping and encouraging others, with funding from PSB. |
Work Distribution
Head:
1. Overall in-charge of all SP activities
2. Mentoring of SP (S)PSLs, overseeing that the following are observed in and out of SP work times:
SPSL:
1.. Mentoring of all SP-related activities, overseeing and ensuring that the following standards are met:
External Events reaching out to the school:
3. Mentoring of the Mass PSL Session, ensuring that it reaches the aims of reigniting the Year 1’s enjoyment in PSL Sessions, thereby enabling them to find greater meaning of PSL Sessions, so as to apply skills learnt into their daily lives
PSL:
1. Planning and execution of LID 1 to 4
2. Planning and execution of Mass PSL Session (in collaboration with TnD, TBC)
1. Overall in-charge of all SP activities
2. Mentoring of SP (S)PSLs, overseeing that the following are observed in and out of SP work times:
- That a free environment allowing for active and open contribution of ideas is established
- That bonding within the committee is encouraged, and occurs with time
- That SP (S)PSLs are able to develop as PSLs as well as a person
SPSL:
1.. Mentoring of all SP-related activities, overseeing and ensuring that the following standards are met:
External Events reaching out to the school:
- That SP-organized activities address the needs of the school we have identified, and has the potential to create positive change
- That SP-organized activities are able to keep up a standard of innovation and novelty, but still keeping their essence of peer support, thereby perpetuating the school’s belief and meaning in SP-organized activities
- That SP-organized activities are in-line and reflect the values of PSB and PSLs, and bring up any discrepancy to the attention of the EXCO
- That SP-organized activities (PSL Sessions) set out to impact the target audience in ways that would best cater to them
- That SP-organized activities (PSL Sessions) remain relevant and impactful to the target audience
